Once upon a time, I used to be a writer. Then a life crisis led to a long and (mostly) happy detour in medicine. Now I combine my love of medicine and language by writing creative nonfiction with a focus on medicolegal death investigation and its intersection with medicine, the justice system, and public health.

I’m currently seeking representation for a memoir about my years as coroner — a story about finding the strength to do what you have to do.
