After a recent trip to South Dakota, I decided the Cause & Manner blog needs its own vacation. The blog will be taking a short hiatus so I can concentrate on finishing the memoir I’ve been writing about my time as a coroner. If you’ve written something similar (published or unpublished), please get in touch! If you’re a reader, I’ll be asking for beta readers through my newsletter when the book is at the next stage.
If you’re not already a subscriber, you can get my free monthly newsletter—The Last Word—by signing up here or by clicking the red Subscribe button on this page. The newsletter will let you know when the blog returns.
The Last Word also includes features like Forensic Flashbacks. This month’s flashback about the 1975 murder of activist Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash was inspired by what I learned about Lakota history on my trip. I also highlight books/podcasts about medicolegal death investigation and comment on happenings in the coroner/medical examiner world. See you there!
